The Big Island ‘Ukulele Guild 13th Annual Stringed Instrument Show opened Friday, October 6 at the Wailoa Arts and Cultural Center in Hilo. Visitors toured the exhibit, met some of the builders, nibbled on pupus and enjoyed music provided by musicians Alan Hale, Bob Stoffer and Chris Stewart.

On Saturday, October 14 from 12pm - 3pm, Doug Powdrell and Tom Mullen will offer a demonstration on ukulele construction. And a free 8-week course in ukulele building taught by Sam Rosen of Holualoa Ukulele Gallery will be raffled off during the demo.

On Saturday, October 21, Andy Andrews will conduct our final kanikapila from 12-3 pm. All events are free and everyone is welcome!

The exhibit is open during the Saturday activities and 8:30 am – 4:30 pm weekdays through October 26.
